Data Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a talented and hard working Senior Software Engineer to join the DataPop Team to help us build our next generation Search and Mobile advertising platform.

You will own an important part of our system, collaborate directly with its users, have significant influence over how we solve problems and will launch your innovations then see their immediate impact on our business. You will help us evolve existing systems and build new ones from scratch.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and build our core data infrastructure, including all ETL pipelines, data warehouses and BI & ad-hoc analytics systems
• Work with product and business teams to develop specifications, then lead cross functional teams in implementing

Required Experience

• 4+ years software development and design experience
• 2+ years experience with Java and OO design
• 1+ years experience with Data Warehouse and Data Mining technologies, including building ETL pipelines and supporting complex data aggregation and modeling
• Experience with NoSQL and distributed data processing technologies like Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.
• Strong SQL programming and Unix Shell scripting skills
• Strong understanding of data warehouse and database design principles
• Experience with data manipulation languages like python, perl, scala is a plus
• Experience with search or other online advertising technologies a big plus
• Experience with Pentaho Kettle is plus
• BS in Computer Science or related field is preferred
